Sam – Clinical Hypnotherapist & EMDR Practitioner in Greenwich
Specialist support for anxiety, addiction recovery and phobias
CCHt, MNLP, EMDR, CPNLP, Senior Practitioner

With nearly 20 years of experience, I specialise in supporting individuals with anxiety, addictive patterns and phobias. My work focuses on identifying and addressing root causes rather than simply managing symptoms, enabling clients to create meaningful, lasting change.
Based in Woolwich and working with clients across Greenwich (SE10) and Blackheath (SE3), I integrate evidence-based approaches including Clinical Hypnotherapy, EMDR, CBT and NLP.
Clinical Approach
Many challenges such as anxiety, phobias and addictive behaviours are maintained by both learned patterns and underlying emotional drivers.
I combine:
Hypnotherapy – to shift automatic habits, conditioned responses and behavioural loops
EMDR – to process unresolved emotional experiences and reduce reactivity
CBT and NLP – to strengthen cognitive and behavioural tools
This structured, integrative approach supports change at both behavioural and emotional levels.
EMDR is introduced only when clients feel psychologically safe and it is clinically appropriate.
Areas of Specialist Focus
Anxiety
Overthinking, panic responses, stress-related overwhelm and emotional reactivity.
Addiction & Habit Change
Smoking cessation, alcohol reduction and compulsive behaviours, addressing both behavioural patterns and emotional triggers.
Phobias
Specific fears including flying, driving, medical procedures and situational anxiety, using structured desensitisation approaches.
ADHD Traits
Particularly where impulsivity, emotional regulation challenges or addictive patterns overlap
I have extensive experience working in addiction recovery centres and mental health services, and have facilitated personal development retreats in the UK and Thailand.

Why I Do This Work
Although my life once appeared successful externally, panic attacks and anxiety developed unexpectedly. Through counselling and hypnotherapy, I addressed the underlying causes rather than managing symptoms alone. That experience reshaped both my personal direction and my professional approach.
It informs the way I now support clients – combining clinical structure with lived understanding.
